Wedding Invites

After struggling with them for about 3 hours, the wedding invites have been ordered. Of course, we need to double-check the digital proof to make sure our late night writing actually makes sense to our more coherent selves, but hopefully we'll be able to send them out shortly.

Double B Contracting, out of Lowville, NY, came through big with 3 portable toilet units. Unfortunately, these won't be the deluxe sink units, but they're still going to rock. I mean, come on, they're port-a-potties!

Disaster averted--the wedding is still on!

NOOOOOO!!

So, apparently, all the portable toilets are booked for August 1. I'm still trying to find them, but the dream is slipping through our fingers. Portable toilets! Port-a-potties! We're losing them!

Hopefully, someone will come through. If not, I'm just not sure what we'll do...

Our Wedding Registry

Wedding Music

After several weeks of exhaustive searching, we've almost finished the plans for the music at the wedding. Stay tuned for the final details, we'll be posting them soon.

Yummy Cakes

This weekend, we tasted some delicious cupcakes from our wedding cake baker. After much deliberating and...well, a lot of tasting, we've made a decision about our wedding cake.

It's basically going to be split between:

• Chocolate cake with vanilla frosting and raspberry filling
• Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting

Additionally, we're getting lavender royal cream flowers on the tops of the cakes.

As the post title says, yummy!

Our Officiant

We've done a lot of thinking about who we want to officiate our wedding and we found that we kept going back to the same person.

While the main role of the officiant is to sign the marriage certificate, what we really wanted was somebody who could more than adequately perform a ceremony that is, obviously, very important to us. To do this properly, it needed to be somebody who really understands us and who knows what our relationship means to one another.

With that in mind, we would like to formally announce that our officiant will be our good friend, Carline Czaja. Carline will set the perfect tone for the wedding and we can't think of anyone we'd rather have officiate our wedding.
